Christmas Eve Pictures

Kailey has been so patient all month long and finally was able to open her first present on Christmas Eve, she was very excited!

Both of my girls love cooking. This year Kailey went out with her Grandma on
Christmas Eve while we made dinner, so Gianna stayed home and made her first lasagna. She did an amazing job!

My friend Kim is starting a photography business. She took a lot of our friends Christmas card pics and did a great job. On Christmas Eve at church she was taking snapshots as we walked in. Here are the shots she got.

Making Fudge and Feeding Reindeer

The girls were huge helpers this year and made candycane fudge with me.
They broke the candycanes and wore adorable matching aprons that my mom made Julie
and I when we were kids.

On Christmas Eve we sprinkled "reindeer food" all over our front yard. Nate HATES glitter, it is one of his few pet peeves. The girls and I of course thought it was great. They were again in matching outfits that my mom made. We put milk and
cookies out for Santa, and got ready for the big day.

Preschool Party

Today was Kailey's Preschool Christmas Party. We decorated cookies, listened to a story, and the kids sang Away in a Manager. Gianna loved being able to go to school. Here are some pics of the day.....

MOMS Club Party

Today was our annual Moms Club Christmas Party. Gianna loved it. We had one of the Mom's playing the piano and we all sang Christmas Carols, G was dancing the entire time. Kailey got into right as the party was ending, but had fun either way.
When the party was over K kept saying, "let go to Super Target." She says that kind of a lot, and we did need a few things so to kill a little time we decided to go. (for those of you who don't live her, or know the area, we have no grocery stores within 20 minutes or so, so Super Target is where we buy everything!) It was a rainy day, so getting coffee and walking around the Christmas isle sounded fun. (yes I know I am a dork for admitting that!) When we got in the car to go she was so funny, she said, "let's go to Super Target and buy some umbrellas!" She was right, we don't have one, because we really don't ever need them. The girls had a blast walking around the store with their matching umbrellas, but of course the fun didn't stop there. We haven't put them down yet!

The Park with Aunt Julie

Julie was here until Tuesday. She is great at taking pictures of the girls, that is why I always have more posts when she is in town. When we picked K up from school that day, all she could say was " go to park with Julie." The weather was chilly, but perfect for the park.

Decorating Day

This is our first year with a "fake" tree. I gave it two years in AZ with a real one and it just wasn't working for us. The tree was dry and looked like a fire hazard within two weeks. I hate to admit it, but no watering, no messing with the lights, no needles all over the house, it really isn't so bad. It actually turned out beautiful!
That evening (before the flu struck again) the girls decorated cookies and Julie and Nana. Nate and I were able to sneak out for a great date at Pizzeria Bianco.

Gobble Gobble!

This was Kailey's Thanksgiving outfit last year. She would not even put the poncho on. Gianna on the other had LOVED it. It was fun to see her feel like she was in a costume and show everyone her "cape."

By Thanksgiving Day we were all healthy. We had a great dinner and then had a ton of friends come join us for dessert. It was a great time, and fun to spend it with a fabulous mix of people.

Just two days later........Mom, Julie, Kailey, Gianna, and two of our guests all ended up with the stomach flu....again. I guess we weren't as healthy as we thought. I guess the number one thing that I am Thankful for right now, is our health. I think we take it for granted was too often!

Hanging Out at Home

Surprise, Surprise, sickness has hit our house again. K, G, and I all got a stomach bug. It was pretty awful, but only lasted 24 hours.....or so I thought. Kailey was all better for a day, and then started up again. It has been 5 days off and on for her now. We went to the Dr today and he explained that since she has some "digestive" issues, it is always going to take her longer to get rid of viruses. I thought it was interesting, and something I never thought about before. So now we are giving her a lot of fiber, and trying to get her better before the big day on Thursday.
Gianna on the other hand is just trying to keep herself busy while I am getting things ready for Thanksgiving and Kailey is resting and watching movies. She is OBSESSED with her babies. Here are some shots of her changing diapers and doing her best to wipe her baby. Nate went to Costco today and got her that cute set with a stroller and cradle for Christmas. She is going to love it. If you read this, please send healthy thoughts out way! :)

Trick or Treat

The girls loved sorting their candy and each ended the night with a lolly pop. They were thrilled, and luckily have never asked about their candy again. Good thing, since Nate and I enjoyed most of the chocolate and the rest quietly disappeared.

My Crazy One Year Old!

Halloween was a blast. I knew it would be. The girls LOVED dressing up. Above are the outfits Gianna bounce between all week. She needed something funnty on all the time. When we got home and I took off Tinkerbell, she went and got K's Nemo costume from last year and had me put that on her.

Halloween Weekend

This weekend was the Harvest Festival in the community where we live. The girls were THRILLED to wear their costumes, Kailey actually has only taken her's off for a couple hours since that day. There was a petting zoo, costume contest and lots of fun music and snacks. I am so glad that they want to wear their beautiful gowns, Halloween night should be lots of fun!

The Watson House

We met the Watson's years ago before any of us were married. Our lives have all changed so much over the past 10 years, but nothing beats watching our kids enjoy each other as much as we enjoy spending time with them. They have a three year old and an almost one year old that the girls had a blast with. The girls hadn't seen each other since they were tiny babies, but I think the pictures sum up how they got along!
